Bird Supplies

Birds are relatively easy to take care of with the right bird supplies. The right supplies will vary depending on the bird. Whoever you purchase or adopt the bird from should be able to offer good advice on what the particular bird prefers.

When getting a bird you will need a cage, a cage cover, perches, cage liners, food and food dishes. Other bird supplies that you may like to have include a play stand outside the cage for when you let your bird stretch its wings outside of its cage and bird toys. Other than finches and canaries, birds need to be let out there cage daily, so having places for them to sit and things to play with is a good idea.

When choosing a bid cage the bigger the better. You cage should allow as much fluttering, movement and exercise as possible. You’ll also want several different perches that very is size, shape and textures so the birds feet don’t get cramped. Dish bird supplies should be stainless steel so that you can put them in the dishwasher for easy cleaning.
