A pet carrier is important to ensure the safety of both the owner and the pet during travel. Animals can often get in the way while owners are driving, which can cause accidents. Also, if pets aren’t secured in something while they are in a car they get badly injured if you have to suddenly stop or take a sharp turn.

Pet carriers are also very handy for walking around, or if you need a place to put your pet and keep them out of the way for a short period of time. Airlines will often have particular regulations for the carrier for the animal to be brought aboard, so always check with the airline before purchasing a carrier for a flight.

The most important thing to look for when choosing the carrier is how comfortable your pet will be in it. Make sure it is big enough for your animal to stand up and turn around in. Also make sure they can stretch out in it and that they can sleep comfortably in it.
